Enzinc, a company that makes advanced batteries, has just raised $8 million to make better batteries that are good for our planet. This new funding was led by TO VC, a company that helps start-ups grow, with extra help from American Century Investments (ACI).

Why Zinc Batteries?

As the world looks for new ways to power devices without harming the environment, the demand for better batteries is increasing. Enzinc’s new technology uses zinc, which is safer and packs more energy than traditional batteries. This big idea can help companies that already make batteries to improve their products without spending a lot of money on new equipment.

  • Zinc batteries can store more energy and are safer than many other types of batteries.
  • Enzinc’s technology can help factories that make traditional batteries start making zinc batteries without building new factories.

“Our new funding shows that our investors believe in our vision and think we can grow quickly,” said Michael Burz, CEO and cofounder of Enzinc. He is grateful for the expertise and support from their investors.

What the Investors Say

Joshua Phitoussi, a partner at TO VC, is excited about the future of Enzinc. He believes that Enzinc can change the battery industry by using existing resources more wisely. Phitoussi will join the Enzinc Board of Directors to help guide the company.

With the new funds, Enzinc plans to make more batteries, work with more partners, and start selling their zinc batteries to the world. This will help everyone move towards using cleaner energy. They just opened a new Technology Center in Oakland, CA, which shows they are ready to work hard on this goal.

What Makes Enzinc Special?

Enzinc is not just another battery company. They use special engineering from airplanes and cars to make really good batteries. Here are some things that make Enzinc stand out:

FeatureDescription
Energy DensityZinc batteries can hold a lot of energy in a small space.
SafetyZinc is safer than many other materials used in batteries.
Cost-EffectiveUsing existing factories keeps costs down.
Environmentally FriendlyZinc is less harmful to the environment than materials like lithium.
